The combination of trumpet and organ or tormbone and organ is becoming more and more popular. Some listeners  can’t get enough of the so-called “Baroque-Music”.
We thought that it would be possible to make more interesting and variable musicprograms by combining the trumpet and trombone with the “Queen of all instruments”, the organ. That is why we founded the trio in 1990.
During the course of my career as soloist and tromboneteacher I always have tried to give my younger collegues tips, which they often used quickly. For example, 20 years ago, I recorded the world’s first LP of trombone concertos, I also encouraged composers to write new music for trombone, and after the first professional chamber music trio was founded in 1986, for trumpet, trombone and piano since 1990, also for trumpet, trombone and organ.
That is why i have the pleasure to introduce new music and encourage others to play trio music.
Harald Genzmer and Jan Koetsier started writing for us right after the trio had been founded. We also have recorded pieces which weren’t written especially for us, but which are still modern compositions (Schweizer, Gerlach).
It is indeed a pleasure to present such important and original music, such as Jarzebski and such enjoyable music as the arrangements of Mouret, Frescobaldi, Haendel and Bach.
